Welcome to the island in the ocean current

Austevoll Kystferie AS is located at Fagerbakkevåg on the north side of the island Selbjørn in Austevoll. We have available house, boat-house, quay and boats for rent, and we arrange special packages according to Your wishes.

Selbjørn and Fagerbakkevåg is a very good starting point for fishing at see towards the North Sea as well as in between islets and rocks. The beautiful nature on Selbjørn also invites to great onshore walking especially on the south side of the island.

Selbjørn is the island between ocean currents and You will never experience one boring moment if You enjoy sea, fish and lots of weather all year.

Our guests has during many years been satisfied and given positive feedback on both the facilities Austevoll Kystferie offers, and the experience of nature it is to visit Selbjørn.

In our new boat "Safen" it is fully possible to take a trip towards the outer coast in good weather to fish at large deeps, and should there be a lot of weather the fishing is also very good in between fjords, islets and rocks. Everything is there and only e quick 10-15 minute trip by boat from Fagerbakkevåg

Fishishing round Selbjørn is very good and You could expect to catch all regular Norwegian types of fish such as cod, coalfish, sea trout, haddock, pollack, ling, catfish and in the season both mackerel and herring appears in the fjords.

Selbjørn is just ca 1 hour travel by car and ferry both south from Bergen and north of Lervik (Stord).

Freshwater fishing is also possible in a water/lake at our disposal.

Reduced price for vacant weeks in 2011 NOK 8600.- pr week on direct order.

Rental of house with boat may be order pr full week(s) with friday as normal time for arrival/departure ( arrival 1600 p.m, departure 1000 a.m.).

Other arrival/departure timescan be arranged.

Booking for renting of house and boat

Renting house with boat between March 1st and October 15th is done on a weekly basis. Starting/ending weeks on saturdays. Arrival saturday at 16:00 (4pm) and departure saturday at 10:00 (10am). Other start/end days/times can be agreed in special cases.

The booking process

Austevoll Kystferie AS will respond with information about the availability of our house/boats in the period You request with prices and payment instructions.

Upon conformatiion on booking from Austevoll Kystferie You willl be asked to pay a deposit according to payment instructions as confirmation of the booking. The remaining rent will be paied cash on arrival.

Arrival and departure

Renting house with boat is done on a weekly basis starting saturday. Arrival saturday at 16.00 (4pm) and departure before following saturday at 10.00 (10am).

At departure the house and boat(s) shall be washed/cleaned and left in the same state as on arrival. You may order washing and cleaning for an extra fee (NOK 500,-). Fuel shall be filled on the boat(s).

Damages

Damages on house(s), boat(s)/motor, furniture/fixtures or equipment caused by renter is renters responsibility to replace or compensate.

Austevoll Kystferie AS is not responsible for any injuries to renter or renters guests nor damages to their equipment during the stay. Renter must cover own insurance for loss, injuries or damages.
